Britfeld Weimaraners ~ A Gang After Photo Shoot 26th Oct ‘08
October 29th, 2008
Today was a very exhausting day for the A Gang. It was photo time but in show poses. So it really was a battle of the wills; me determined they would stay in a ‘pose’ be it for a split second and they determined not to make that happen. The whole process exhausted them and me. They took a nap under the plum tree and I took a nap on the couch.

Tonight I gave the A Gang a piece of deer after they had their dinner of lambs hearts, giblets, chicken liver and beef strips. It was an opportunity (at least as close as I can make it) for the puppies to experience being a true carnivore. If in the wild the mother would have brought back to the den a fresh kill for the litter to eat alas this is as close as I can make that happen. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Steve Tilley of the famed Greystalker Weimaraners for keeping the A gang in fresh wild game meat; from deer to kangaroo and rabbit. I would also like to thank Richard Boots, the owner of the sire of the A Gang for making many drives to go shooting with Steve and help keep the A Gang in good supply of wild game.

This is clip #5 in this series showing the A Gang dining on rabbit for the first time. It is wonderful to watch them eating like carnivores should; raw and all natural. This is my first litter raised on totally raw feeding. The only commercial food they have had is the milk supplement to help Milly out during feeding although she still did just about all the feeding herself. Majority of the time all I did was ’supervise’ feeding by allowing the girls to eat then the boys or vice versa.
This clip shows the A Gang outside for a second day. Some puppies are drinking from Milly while others are inside the whelping box enclosure.
