The Weimaraner

Anyone who has ever known a Weimaraner quickly comes to realize that the breed is very special. It’s not just the beauty and intelligence of the breed, the weimaraner has a unique personality that makes the dog seem almost human.

Weimaraners will have a vocabulary far greater than most other breeds. They seem to know what you are saying even when you are not talking directly to them. Often times they anticipate human actions so well they seem to know what you are thinking.

Lil’ Pea Comes Home

My Weimaraner just turned 7 years old and it seems that she has always been a member of our family yet it was such a short time ago that we brought that fuzzy puppy home.

Weimaraner Puppy Nursing

Our weim, Tallulah, is now 16 months old, but here she is at 8 weeks. Her mom and grandfather are both nursers for life, so we think she will be too. We keep a regular stock of these lemur toys around, throwing one out every few months, as they get very smelly. She nurses mainly for comfort, and she positions her lemur so that the snout goes in her mouth and she sucks it like it’s a nipple. We still get a kick out of it each time she does it, which is usually a few times each day. Enjoy!
