		<description>The reason AKC and UKC do not recognize this color variation, is because it is a deviation from the standard, just as are the ticking and the doberman-like markings (a throw-back to the black bloodhounds, weims were originally bred from).  The breed has a standard in order to preserve it.  If we are constantly making exceptions, we eventually distort the original idea and loose the breed entirely.  I do not believe there is anything wrong with these genetic deviations; they make great pets, family dogs and hunters.  I do however, understand and support the reasons the AKC and UKC have these restrictions in place.</description>
